On this cold January day, I thought something warm and cheerful was in order. So, here’s a selection of Jimmy Buffett songs I enjoy (I know, there’s fourteen, I couldn’t decide), some of which were partial inspiration for a little novella I’m working on at the moment:
- Pencil Thin Mustache
- Growing Older But Not Up
- Cheeseburger in Paradise
- Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season
- Twelve Volt Man
- Changes in Latitudes
- Brown Eyed Girl
- Come Monday
- Back to the Island
- Who’s the Blond Stranger?
- Son of a Son of a Sailor
- A Pirate Looks at Forty

Great list! I love Jimmy Buffett. 🙂 Happy Thursday!
I love Jimmy Buffet. I’ve been tailgating to a few of his concerts & it’s wack!
Thanks for the list. It does warm me up!
Ha. I’m not a big Buffett fan (I know, I know, stone me), but some of these even I enjoy.
Ahhhhh the Buffet man. I love “Cheeseburger in Paradise”.
LOL! How fun! My hubby loves his music!

You mean he sings about more than cheeseburgers and tequila?
I love Cheeseburger in Paradise! My husband, who’s a big Jimmy fan, explained the whole song to me and I didn’t believe him. Then he played it for me and I laughed and laughed and laughed. I like that Buffett can take such simple concepts and make music out of them. Brilliant!
