I wanted to share this quote from Stephen Dunn’s “The Good and Not So Good” in Walking Light.
“The good poet lets in the unruly, the difficult, the unformed– in a sense, the unmanageable– and is able to make a livable environment for them. The more the imagination can accommodate, the more chaos the poet is equal to, the richer the poem.”
