Thursday Thirteen – Character Theme Music

cello-thurs-13

I was procrastinating from writing and playing around with playlists again and found music that went well with my characters or scenes they are in. So here’s my thirteen for today:

  1. Annie – One Man’s Dream by Yanni
  2. Finn – Fides (Belief) by Lesiem
  3. Niell – Misconstruction by Apocalyptica
  4. Tala – Celtic Legend by Paul Spaeth
  5. Angus – Metal Gear Saga by Harry Gregson-Williams
  6. Dairine – Selisona Pi by E. S. Posthumus
  7. Marcan – Quutamo by Apocalyptica
  8. Luisea – Jessica’s Theme by Bruce Rowland
  9. Joahaal/John – Pompeii by E.S. Posthumus
  10. Kat – Summer Garden by Rob Costlow
  11. Maeve – Amergin’s Invocation by Lisa Gerrard
  12. Snaithan – Heat by Apocalyptica
  13. Finntan – Farewell by Apocalyptica

lol. It appears I’m currently hooked on Apocalyptica. Well, I have been writing some heavy emotion and battle scenes lately and I love cello. What can I say?

  1. Too cool – I love that you’ve gone so in depth as to give each character a song. Music is integral to my writing, but my characters haven’t been given such special treatment…

    yet…

    Happy TT!
    Ciao!

  2. What’s not to love about a cello–or Apocolyptica! My characters may not always have their own theme music, but each book defintely does. Music plays an important role in my writing process, too.

You’ve got a great list there!

  3. Wow, I’m not familiar with any of this music (though I have at least heard of Yanni). Not a big fan of the cello myself. I’m more partial to the violin. 😉

  4. I don’t have character music, I have scene music or general theme music. But, I adore Apocalyptica – if you dig them, you might check out Rachel Barton’s Stringendo.
