I’ve always loved the idea of mermaids. While I don’t have any mermaids in my current works in progress, I do have a sea-going shifter race with some piratical traditions.
Writing Prompt for Today: Do a 15 minute writing sprint on their conversation. Or, are they about to kiss? Do a 15 minute writing sprint adding to the sensual tension.
I like writing sprints. Set the timer for a designated amount of time: 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes. Write like mad, without worrying about typos, format, errors, or logic. Just get the thoughts and images down on that blank white space. I find I do best at 15 or 20 minute sprint to really dig into a scene.
