Here’s another six sentences from my current work in progress, Love Burns, a contemporary romance:
She leaned into him, relaxing with a laugh. “This has been a great day.”
“All of it?” he said seriously, still weighing what they’d started this afternoon, and immediately kicked himself for not going with the flow and agreeing. Then worry slapped in–the day hadn’t all been rosy for her–and annoyance with himself quickly followed for wanting her, right now, again, and fighting the sensual memories and hungry grip of his body was a lost cause.
He flushed, thoroughly relieved he was sitting and the boys were off with their dad. Only so much biology he was up for explaining today.
