I’ve been hard at work editing/rewriting Clear As Day, adding in Nate’s viewpoint, which has been an interesting experience in itself. I found my writing playlist for this novella had to grow as Nate’s personality came forward. So here are thirteen songs from that playlist, some songs of which surprised me since I’m not a pop music kind of girl.
- Pictures of You – The Cure
- She – Elvis Costello
- Feel Like Making Love – Bad Company
- Saving Me – Nickleback
- A Taste of Honey – Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass
- Sea of Heartbreak – George Strait and Jimmy Buffett
- Don’t Worry, Be Happy – Bobby McFerrin
- Slow Like Honey – Fiona Apple
- Insensatez – Antonio Carlos Jobim
- Aloha Ka Manini – Israel Kamakawiwo’ole
- That’s What Love Can Make You Do – Government Mule
- Coyote Rainbows – Carlos Nakai
- Fotografia – Quarteto Malandro Brasil

What a wonderful mix of music!
I’ve always loved Bad Company. This list is making me want to load up my own playlist.
Thanks! I’m going to take a listen right now. Happy T13!
I never heard of any of those! LOL!
*hugs*

Haven’t heard any of these before, going to list to the list now. Thanks for sharing!
I was thinking it was eclectic even before we left English behind.
I love The Cure! Great list. I also tend toward Depeche Mode. That group actually inspired my list in a roundabout way today. Heh…
Great list! I LOVE NICKELBACK!! 🙂 Happy Thursday!
Wow, that’s a varied list you have there. Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass takes me straight back to my childhood. My dad is a mondo-fan.
My dad was a big fan of Herb Alpert and also The Kingston Trio. When I think of my childhood that’s the music I remember most.
Wow. I love it! It’s only been in the last six months that I’ve been doing playlists for characters, but it’s been really inspiring. Thanks for sharing yours!
There are some good songs in there, though there are also a few I’ve never heard of. Hope the edits are going well!
Oh! Awesome mix!!! You know me, I love me my music.
Fiona is often my muse. Thanks for the new music ideas!
I know most of these! *happy dance*
Happy TT.
